Ask when the results may be available
Use resultado do exame for a test result and previsão for an estimate. Clinics and laboratories have different timelines, so ask the service that performed your test rather than relying on a general expectation.
If you had more than one test, name the exam or date so staff can find the right record. Keep personal information to the secure channel the clinic requests.

Confirm how you will receive the information
Ask whether results appear in a patient portal, arrive by phone, or require an appointment. Do not send sensitive details through a public comment or a channel the clinic has not approved.
If the staff member uses an unfamiliar word, ask them to spell it or write down the portal name. Confirm whether you need a login or another instruction to access it.

Make the phrase useful to you
Choose one example you could actually use. Say it once from memory, then change one detail that fits your life, such as the person, place, time, or object. Check whether your change also needs a different verb form, article, or adjective ending. If it does, compare it with the pattern in the explanation.
Ask when and where results will appear, then confirm how a clinician will explain them.
Return to two prompts tomorrow without opening the answers first. If a phrase still feels difficult, shorten it to a useful chunk and build the complete sentence again.
