Connect the next action with assim que

Assim que introduces an event that happens immediately after another: assim que eu chegar (as soon as I arrive). In a future situation, Brazilian Portuguese commonly uses the future subjunctive after the connector.

For a regular routine or a past event, choose the tense that matches the meaning. Do not try to translate every English use of ‘as soon as’ by copying its verb forms.

Choose one example you could actually use. Say it once from memory, then change one detail that fits your life, such as the person, place, time, or object.
