Ask a Client for Project Feedback in Portuguese — Practice
A guided practice lesson with English explanations, Brazilian Portuguese examples, and answers you can check. Read the examples, recall the meaning, then say a version of your own.
Invite feedback on a specific part
Feedback is often called retorno or comentários in Portuguese. Ask the client to focus on a section, detail, or goal rather than saying only O que achou? (What did you think?).
Mention which version they are reviewing and what kind of feedback is most useful right now: content, layout, tone, or a missing detail.
| Brazilian Portuguese | English meaning |
|---|---|
| Você pode comentar o tom e a clareza desta seção? | Could you comment on the tone and clarity of this section? |
| Esta versão corresponde ao objetivo que combinamos? | Does this version match the goal we agreed on? |
Clarify a revision request
Revisão is revision, and comentário is a comment. If feedback is vague, ask for an example or ask the client to rank the requested changes by priority.
Confirm how many revision rounds remain under the current scope before committing to additional changes.
| Brazilian Portuguese | English meaning |
|---|---|
| Você pode indicar um exemplo do que gostaria de mudar? | Could you point to an example of what you would like to change? |
| Qual destas mudanças é mais importante? | Which of these changes is most important? |
Confirm approval and close the review
Use aprovar to approve and versão final for final version. Ask who can approve the work and how they want that approval recorded.
Once you receive feedback, summarize the agreed revisions and date. This creates a shared understanding before you prepare the next version.
| Brazilian Portuguese | English meaning |
|---|---|
| Depois desta revisão, quem aprova a versão final? | After this revision, who approves the final version? |
| Vou aplicar os três ajustes até sexta-feira. | I'll apply the three adjustments by Friday. |
Remember: Ask for focused comments, turn vague requests into examples, and confirm who approves the final version.
Check your understanding
Choose the English meaning of each Portuguese example. Answer before looking back at the tables. These questions check the written examples in this guide; they are not a listening or proficiency test.
Recall the Portuguese, then say it
Read the English prompt and say a Portuguese version before opening the answer. The answer shows the example from the lesson; other natural translations may also work. Compare the meaning and the situation rather than counting a different word as automatically wrong.

Make the phrase useful to you
Choose one example you could actually use. Say it once from memory, then change one detail that fits your life, such as the person, place, time, or object. Check whether your change also needs a different verb form, article, or adjective ending. If it does, compare it with the pattern in the explanation.
Ask for focused comments, turn vague requests into examples, and confirm who approves the final version.
Return to two prompts tomorrow without opening the answers first. If a phrase still feels difficult, shorten it to a useful chunk and build the complete sentence again.
